New Hope Chapel

New Hope Chapel is a Baptist General Conference Church in Arnold, Maryland. Although a small church of around seventy members of various ages and backgrounds, it is a grand church regarding their worship. Their contemporary style invites the presence of God with upbeat and encouraging songs focusing on the love of God and devotion to Him, with such songs as "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever" and "I Surrender All." The worship experience is inspiring-congregants are invited to sing along or clap, to stand or sit, or basically do whatever they wish, however they feel moved. Song lyrics were displayed on an overhead projector shining on a wall behind the worship team in the pulpit. The atmosphere was simple and comfortable, yet while maintaining a deep reverence for the holiness of God. The congregation raised hands to God, sang, and were obviously deeply moved by the worship service. Prayer asking God to glorify Him, and to be used by Him was interjected among the worship, as well as a powerful sermon on Acts chapter five. This style of worship is truly a wonderful experience for those who want to bask in the presence of our loving God.
